{"id":3084,"date":"2026-02-12T21:05:09","date_gmt":"2026-02-13T02:05:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cruzrojacolombiana.20sagencia.com\/colombian-red-cross-humanitarian-impact-in-san-pablo-catatumbo\/"},"modified":"2026-04-13T15:04:18","modified_gmt":"2026-04-13T20:04:18","slug":"colombian-red-cross-humanitarian-impact-in-san-pablo-catatumbo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cruzrojacolombiana.20sagencia.com\/en\/colombian-red-cross-humanitarian-impact-in-san-pablo-catatumbo\/","title":{"rendered":"Colombian Red Cross: Humanitarian Impact in San Pablo, Catatumbo"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The Colombian Red Cross (CRC)<\/strong>, with the support of the <strong>German Red Cross<\/strong> and the <strong>European Union <\/strong>(through the Strengthening Humanitarian Response Project \u2013 ECHO PP), has carried out a crucial health mission in the township of <strong>San Pablo, Teorama, in the Catatumbo Region.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The Mobile Medical Team<\/strong> brought <strong>essential health services<\/strong> to rural communities affected by conflict and with limited access to medical care. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Full note: November 14, 2025 \u2013 San Pablo District, Teorama \u2013 Catatumbo Region.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<p>The Mobile Medical <strong>Team of the Project Strengthening the humanitarian response to migration and armed conflict situations in South America, <\/strong>an initiative funded by the <strong>German Red Cross and the European Union<\/strong>, continues to bring <strong>essential health services<\/strong> to rural communities affected by armed conflict and with significant limitations in accessing timely medical care. <\/p>\n\n<p>During the first seven days of operation in the township of San Pablo, the humanitarian team has provided comprehensive care that includes: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>More than 426 general medicine consultations,<\/strong> contributing to the early diagnosis and treatment of various conditions. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>119 nursing services, <\/strong>including the administration of contraceptive methods and basic health checks. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>123 dental services<\/strong>, focused on prevention, oral hygiene and priority procedures. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>78 psychology consultations,<\/strong> focused on the emotional well-being and mental health of the community. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Delivery of medications <\/strong>to all assessed patients requiring therapeutic treatment, ensuring continuity in their recovery process. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>These humanitarian actions have directly benefited <strong>more than 30 villages in the San Pablo <\/strong>district and indirectly benefited <strong>more than 50 villages in other districts and nearby municipalities<\/strong>.
